Thank You

Dear Thetis Island Humans,

Happy New Year! This is Athenia. My mom said it's good to think about all the great things that have happened over the last couple of years, and there’s so much that was good because of my community. I want to say thank you!

Thank you for helping me get things for my hobbit house, like wood, cement, a sink, and special little treasures. Thank you for helping me find dog toys when Sparkles was a puppy. Thank you for the fake flowers for my fairies. Thank you for giving me gardening jobs—I’m still available if you need me!

Thank you for supporting me at the craft fair and helping me get frames. I sold all my needle felting in just 45 minutes! That was so exciting.

Thank you to the Community Fund for paying for me to get some extra education over the summer. Thank you to everyone who gave to the Children’s Bazaar at the marina. I could afford gifts for my friends and my mom, and that made me really happy.

Thank you to the ladies for trying to teach me how to crochet. It was really hard, and I didn’t do very good, but I’m glad you helped me try.

Thank you for being so friendly and making me feel so supported in this community. I have lots more things I want to do this year. My mom and I have been talking about it, and I have some fun news—I’ll see you at the summer market! I’ve got lots of plans.
