June Fire Permits
Friday, May 23, 2025 at 8:23AM Yard Waste Fire Permits will end on May 31st. There will be no new yard waste outdoor fire permits issued until the Fall.
Evening campfires permits are available for the month of June upon application at www.thetisislandfire.ca. Follow the link on the left to the Permit page. Please allow at least 48 hours for the permit application to be processed.
As the conditions change, and possibly rapidly, solid fuel campfires will be banned and permits cancelled. However, propane campfire appliances will be allowed, and no permit is required.
Propane campfires create no sparks or embers and can be shut off immediately if required. This makes propane campfire appliances safe to operate even in a complete fire ban. And you can still happily char your marshmallows over the fire.
