Note: Water Sample Testing at Nature of Water Talks

Bring your water sample to the Nature of Water talks on July 27th.

Courtesy of Mike Harris, we will have a pH/EC/TDS/salinity meter at Forbes Hall.

pH - acidity or alkalinity

EC - ability of water to conduct electricity (related to the degree of mineralization and salinity)

TDS - amount of dissolved solids

Salinity - number of dissolved salts

Saltwater intrusion is a major worry for our groundwater water supply (along with groundwater overuse and well over pumping).

We encourage everyone to come listen to our groundwater talks on Sunday July 27th (1pm to 4:45) and bring a water sample.
