Thetis Island Movie Club

We’re delighted to announce a new Thetis Island Movie Club. We’re aiming to show two films a month at Forbes Hall — an earlier show on Friday with blockbuster hits, timed so neighbours on Penelakut can get here and home easily on the ferry, and a later show on Thursdays which may include features, classics, foreign films, animation, documentaries, etc..

Opening night: this Thursday October 15: CINEMA PARADISO (PG), an Oscar-winning, nostalgic 1988 Italian classic that is a celebration of film, childhood, and enduring friendship. Italian with subtitles. Doors open 6:30 pm, show starts 7 pm. Trailer: https://youtu.be/JMyVSD6OvO8?si=C9znUbHuOaZndsz3.

Admission free for all. All shows generously sponsored by TICA as a fundraiser for Forbes Hall Community Centre. Optional donations.
