Last spring’s remarkable herring spawn around Thetis Island was an unforgettable sight, and a powerful reminder of what’s at stake. With herring stocks south of Dodd Narrows now considered extirpated by DFO due to overharvesting, recovery efforts are more urgent than ever.
Join us to hear Jim Shortreed, President of the Herring Conservation & Restoration Society, share insights on the current state of Pacific Herring and what we can do to support their recovery. 🐟 🐟 🐟
