Fred has Finally Retired from the Post Office!

"The time has come, "the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—Of cabbages—and kings—And why the sea is boiling hot—And whether pigs have wings."

The pigs with wings sounds like an interesting thing to pursue.

Friday Feb 27 was my last official shift. I will be intermittently available to help Michelle Roy take over as Post Master. She has been most helpful to me and I am sure she will give you stellar service. Please give her the same courtesy that you have so generously given me over the years.

There are so many people to give thanks to that there really isn't enough space, but a shout out to Michelle Black who started our address directory at the very beginning; Claire and Matthew Hess for your kindness and generosity over the years; to the gang of guys and gals who shared many stories and tales and put up with my garrulous monologues.

It has been a slice, and I will miss you all. However, on to the next phase of getting up in the morning: blacksmithing!

Take care all and see you around the island.

Fred,

Post Master Emeritus
