Community Invasive Plant Drop-Off (Sat, March 28)

Like last year, community members are welcome to drop off their invasive plants at the Fairyslipper Forest parking lot. Chipping is the safest and most effective way to manage invasive plants - please don’t burn or leave plants on-site, as burning can release toxic gases and many plants will resprout if left.

Drop-off date: Saturday, March 28
Drop-off time: 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Chipping time: 1:00 PM

Suggested donation: $80 per long-box pickup truck load.

Please note: Do not bring materials with seeds or berries, as these can spread new invasive plants.

To help us estimate quantities, please let us know if you plan to participate by emailing info@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org.

If you aren’t able to drop off your materials, you can arrange a pickup directly with David Reay at davidreay@telus.net

Thank you for helping protect our island habitats!
