Update: No Show for BC Hydro

Seems there were "issues" and Hydro did NOT arrive on the 8:30 ferry. They are working on putting together another crew. Power appears to be available along the dock and in some other areas. (SOUP's ON at Forbes Hall **IS** happening--time to get a hot lunch). Those north of the Garbage Yard on Pilkey Pt Rd must still take the detour via Klahowya Rd. |
Thank you to the Meadow Valley strata for allowing blocked Pilkey Point Road residents to get home and out.
Thank you to the ARCTIC ham radio operators for being on stand-by in case the phone communications were affected (fortunately they weren’t).
And thank you to the e-Spokes crew for getting the emergency messages out from the Fire Department to inform people about the detour.
