Water & Weather Relationships

With the first stretch of warm dry weather looming, those of us who depend on groundwater on Thetis Island should be thinking about installing and/or expanding our capacity to use captured rainwater to reduce demands on limited groundwater reserves. Drought tolerant native plants are the best landscaping choices and there are a number of options available to limit the ability of groundwater systems to "overpump" wells and aquifers. Ernie Hunter is a great resource for this!
