Notice of Thetis Island Residents & Ratepayers Association (TIRRA) - Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 8:22AM TIRRA’s AGM will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:30 pm at Forbes Hall Community Centre. All Thetis Island Residents and Ratepayers are invited to attend.
For those who have not renewed their 2026 membership or those who wish to join TIRRA, membership forms are available online at https://thetisisland.net/tirra/tirra-office.html and will be available at the meeting.
Summaries of the past year’s activities will be reviewed and include reports from the President, Treasurer and TIRRA committees; Communications, Solid Waste, Cemetery, Roads/Ferry and Trails.
The Annual reports from all of these will be published on the TIRRA website at https://thetisisland.net/tirra/tirra-reports.html during this week.
Elections by membership vote for all TIRRA Executive and Committee Chair positions will be held during the AGM.
We are looking for volunteers for the following positions: Secretary, Trails Chair and Transportation/Roads Chair. These roles provide the following support to help TIRRA operate important island functions effectively.
Secretary – Responsible for record keeping and correspondence.
Trails Chair – Is the link between the Trail Stewards, Trail maintenance and the TIRRA Board. Responsible for the Trails maintenance budget.
Transportation and Roads – Communicates any road and related safety / transportation issues on Thetis Island with the local road maintenance organization and the regional district.
These positions are voting members on the TIRRA Executive.
