TIME Jr. Returns This Summer
June - August 2026

TIME Jr., our youth marine biology and stewardship program at the Sea Life Centre, will be returning this summer! This program gives young people the opportunity to explore the fascinating marine life of the Salish Sea while developing hands-on skills in marine care, ecology, and environmental stewardship.

Last summer, our TIME Jr. crew:

  • Helped care for the SLC’s marine animals by feeding critters and maintaining the touch tank and seaquarium
  • Explored the life histories, behaviours, and unique adaptations of local marine invertebrates
  • Created a TIME Jr. “Tree of Life” while learning how different marine species are connected
  • Participated in community science initiatives
  • Produced artwork for the centre
  • Shared their knowledge with visitors as interpreters and ambassadors for the Salish Sea

If you are interested in learning more about TIME Jr. or seeing what it’s all about, please contact Maya at maya@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org.
