CVRD Fireworks Ban

July 1 – Fireworks – All CVRD Electoral Areas

Fireworks permits are not being issued by the CVRD for July 1, Canada Day as there is a Coastal Fire Centre ban on category 2 and category 3 fires. Area of jurisdiction is all CVRD Electoral Areas.

Considering the drought conditions and risk of wildfires in the Cowichan region, the CVRD encourages celebrating responsibly and enjoying your Canada Day with alternative party items such as laser shows, or other non-flammable lights.
