The Air Quality from the two sensors on Thetis Island are in the ORANGE zone (green, yellow, orange, red, purple) which means there may be a respiratory risk for some people within 24 hours of exposure, particularly those who are unusually sensitive to air pollution. Firefighters know a lot about smoke and the fine particulate matter that makes up haze from wildfires. We strongly suggest you not exercise in this heat and haze, make sure you keep hydrated, and check the sites like Purple Air <www.purpleair.com> and <firesmoke.ca> to keep updated on what is going on in our airshed.
