Fire Dept "Chief for a Day" Contest
Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 7:57AM Children 4 years of age to 12 years of age are invited to participate in the CHIEF FOR A DAY draw to ride at the front of the parade in the new Engine 1 fire truck during the August 29th Community Parade.
To enter, submit an 8" x 11 /12" work of art with a Fire Fighter theme (action, safety etc.) with the artist's name and age, plus a parent/guardian name and contact information on the back of the drawing/painting.
We will be selecting the winning entry blindfolded from all entries received by August 25th. Only one entry per artist, please. The contest opens on Monday, August 10th and there will be a box at the front door of the firehall, near Veronica's bench, for you to deposit your artistic entry.
Good luck! We look forward to seeing all the great creations. The chosen child artist must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the Fire Engine during the Parade.
