Special Weather Statement for Southern Gulf Islands

What: Strong southeast winds with gusts up to 80 km/h. 

When: Winds picking up this afternoon and easing late this evening. 

Where: Exposed coastal sections of the Greater Victoria region and Southern Gulf Islands. Additional information: A cold front will sweep through the region this evening bringing moderate to strong gusts to Haro Strait. As such, communities along the coast may see gusts up to 80 km/h. The front will exit the region late this evening and winds will ease subsequently. 

Local utility outages are possible.
