We have a box of golf balls to offer for free to anyone who could use them. I don’t know anything about golf, but they seem good! Were collected from trails near Bear Mountain.

I have two Donjoy unloading knee braces. I have had two knee replacements, so I no longer need them.
I think they could be re-fitted for someone else.
If you are interested in these knee braces, you can call or text me at 250-210-3087.

We are in search of a metal tub, even one that has a hole in the bottom or is rusty and junky. It’s for an outdoor crafty project.

Maybe they want to keep sending good news…so here is the Coastal Fire Centre weather forecast for the weekend:
Saturday to Monday: The rain and wind look to take a break for the weekend. While conditions will remain mostly cloudy, temperatures rebound to seasonal, and a SW flow will deliver typical winds in the 10-20 km/h range with some light gusting. Another low moves inland on Monday, while less intense we can still expect another round of widespread rain and some gusting winds.
Tuesday to Saturday: While the first half of the week remains relatively unstable, there are indications of a weak ridge of high-pressure developing midweek. While models aren’t all in agreement, we should see some stable conditions for a few days with seasonal temperatures and drying.

Starting mid-October, I will be offering a beginner’s silversmithing course for making jewellery. Sessions will run Saturday afternoons into December.
Registrations will be accepted until October 12th. Course will start October 19th. Space is limited so a second class start date will be announced later if required.
Send me your email and I will send you detailed course outline and the cost.
Rena.

Here are the minutes and addendums from Monday's Community Assembly.
Thank you to the organizations' participants and to the engaged group of islanders who attended the meeting. The updates and the public forum both resulted in good discussions.
Next Assembly is planned for April 2025.
