We are Gil LeBlanc and Tracey Geerlinks from Ontario. We are planning on getting married early in 2019 and attending Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre in September 2019.  Both of us are in our 50’s and have lost our spouses in the last 4 years. 

We are looking to rent accommodations for the 2019/20 school year on Thetis Island and hoping to find a place.

CRD at Solid Waste Depot ~ Wednesday, July 25th

Wednesday, July 25th, CVRD will be at site,  9am-12pm. 

To assist staff at the solid waste depot , please follow drop off and parking guidelines.

Please park outside the yard on the road, once you have dropped off your materials or if you are not dropping anything.

CVRD staff will be on site to provide you with information.

Anchorages Concern Thetis ~ Nature House Presentation ~ July 25th

Anchorages Concern Thetis: Presentation at the Nature House on Wednesday July 25 from 7 - 8 PM 

Several members of the group will be reporting on activities between August 2017 (last presentation) and July 2018. They will be sharing new information on the problem of commercial vessel anchorages in Thetis Island waters, the increase of interest in this problem in the Southern Gulf Islands (SGI), and new National activities.

A petition aiming to eliminate these anchorages in SGI waters will also be presented. All Thetis Island residents, representatives of the local Islands Trust and members of the Saltair opposing group are invited to attend.

MP Alistair MacGregor has accepted the invitation. A donation can be made to the Nature House.

This week at the Nature House:

from 7 - 8 PM.

  • Thursday: Drop-in 1 - 4 PM. Women's Paddling 4 - 6 PM. 
  • Friday: Drop-in 1 - 4 PM. Junior Biologists (ages 8 - 12) will be

learning about sharks from 11 AM - 12 PM.

  • Saturday: Drop-in 11 AM - 4 PM. Marine Conservation & Beach Seine with

Suzanne Sarioglu from 11 AM - 1 PM.
