Important note: Voters are responsible for ensuring that their voting package is received by the district electoral office that issued it before 8 p.m. (Pacific time) on May 9. Packages received after the deadline cannot be counted.
Packages should take approximately seven days to arrive by mail, but may take longer. While packages can be requested until 4 p.m. (Pacific time) on May 9 under the Election Act, Elections BC cannot guarantee that you will receive your package in time to return it before the deadline.
Mobility Issues:

Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:24AM On April 30 someone siphoned all the gas from a vehicle parked at ferry terminal. In the process the siphon hose damaged the sensing unit in the tank to the tune of $200+.
Be aware.
Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:21AM With the recent monsoons, and warming trend on its way, it's a good time to check around your home and property for mosquito larval habitat.
Look for any standing water in old tires, buckets, tarps, boats, bird baths, and anything else you may have that can hold water. Empty or drain the water out regularly.
Cover or screen rain barrels.
Check your gutters for blocked or partially blocked downspouts. Clean your gutters so there is no standing water, sludge, or decomposing material that larvae love to feed on.
Mosquitoes can lay hundreds of eggs in less than an inch deep of water. It takes about a week for the larvae to hatch. Shallow water can warm up quickly in the sun and provide perfect habitat for mosquitoes to lay eggs over and over again in the same location, multiplying the nuisance.
Thanks,

Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:08PM On May 3, 2017, BC Ferries will begin a life extension project to the trestle and ramp at the Thetis Island Terminal. The anticipated completion date of this work is June 16.
All work is planned to take place during weekday daytime hours. Work will involve pile driving with a barge and crane onsite. Noise levels are not expected to be excessive and all efforts will be made to limit any sound generating activities.
The work will be performed around the regular sailing schedule, and there is no anticipated impact to the sailing schedule or operations.
Please follow the direction of staff to ensure safe and efficient movement around the terminal.
BC Ferries would like to thank its customers for their patience and understanding while these necessary improvements are completed.
