Eryn Sharpe Trio ~ Forbes Hall Dec. 30th ~ 7:30PM

This Friday, 30th December 7:30 pm  Eryn Sharpe Trio from Victoria.  Come and enjoy them playing  a variety of Jazz,  R&B, both New and Old right here, at the Community Centre !

Lead singer Eryn Sharpe, along with Guitarist Leon Nagasaki, and Upright Bassist Nick Mintenko have all spent time at music school, and started off playing Jazz together two years ago. What started off as a nostalgic obsession with their parents' (and even grandparents') music, turned into regular gigs, friendship, original songwriting, crowdfunding, and now an album, and a 5 piece band- Sharpe5. That said, the trio is still going strong and gigging every other Monday at Pagliacci's.

$ 15.00 at the door.  16 years and under free.  Refreshments by donation.  All welcome.

Forage Fish Monitoring ~ Jan. 3rd

Bring in the New Year with nature and join biologist Ricky Belanger from the Sea Watch Society for a forage fish monitoring session on Tuesday, January 3. Forage fish are important food sources for salmon and other fish species. Meet at Sunrise Point beach at 2 pm. Wear rubber boots and dress for the weather.   We hope to see you there.

My dear husband John went peacefully to be with his Lord very early Christmas morning (what a wonderful gift for him!).  Both John and I are thankful that his Lewy Body Dementia was not prolonged in the end.  John loved Thetis and we both appreciated the love, support and encouragement we received in this wonderful community during his illness

A celebration of his life will be held in January.
