Have Fun Playing Pickleball!

Pickleball is scheduled on Mondays and Fridays at 9:00am at the community hall tennis courts. The time has been moved to 9:00 because of the warmer weather. Play usually lasts until 10:00am but if a big crowd shows up we can play longer. Come and learn to play this relatively easy and fun game.

Welcome Package for New Islanders

As part of the new "Welcome to Thetis Island" package being developed we wonder if there are any businesses out there who would like to offer a small gift certificate to be included in the package. This can be a great way to introduce new folks to your services. Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions.

Sincerely,

Sue French

Roadside Grasses

Grant Gordon, our great roadways works manager on Thetis, called the TIVFD to say the mower isn't coming back to mow the road edges before we get a lot of rain.

With the fire risk from tossed cigarette butts, hot exhaust when parking on tall grass, and sparks, we are asking that if you have the time and the ability please weed whack or mow your road frontage edge.  This will help lower the fire risk.

Some of our property owners already do that as a safety courtesy to our many walkers, and thank you for that.

Set aside the date!!  The annual Book and Bake Sale will be held on August 5.  This is the one and only yearly fundraiser for our lovely library and has always been successful.

If you would like to help with set up (you get to see the books first), selling or re-boxing (you get to see the books last) after the sale let me know.

Of course there will be the famous bake sale.  If you would like to commit to donating baked goods please let Gloria (246-3091) or myself know.  However, we gratefully accept last minute donations.

Sale set up is Friday August 4 at 1:00.

Sale is Saturday August 5 at 10.  Shifts are 10 to 11:30 and 11:30 to 1:00.
