Break in at 48 Harbour Road

I was at my property this weekend and noticed that someone broke a window and entered the blue house.  They stole some brand new (still in the box) floor nailer and a brad nailer (Canadian tire mastercraft)  Then they went to the lower house and kicked in the door.  All the stole was about 3 bottles of alcohol.

I thought everyone on the island should be aware of this.

I did not call the police as the damage and theft was so minor, should I make a report?

Thanks

Gerry Taft

Forbes Hall Kitchen

To all Kitchen users:

On Mar 27th, the door on the commercial fridge was left open. On Saturday morning, a hall user noticed the noise from the fridge. The fridge was overheating and the compressor was being overworked. This commercial fridge was very expensive and it took quite a while for the Soups On Group to raise the money to buy it.

So please make sure that the fridge door is closed tight.

In addition, on Tuesday Mar 31st, a user had forgotten to drain and turn off the sanitizer before they left. Please remember to check that everything is clean and in order when leaving the kitchen after use.

Question Concerning Camping Trailer

There is a folding camping trailer that is being stored on the Highways Right-of-Way next to the Main Road Highways Maintenance Yard on Foster Point Road.

The Ministry of Highways representative has indicated to the Fire Dept. that the location where the camping trailer is parked would be the best spot for the proposed TIVFD water storage tank for fire suppression assistance in that neighbourhood, and the required paperwork for permissions is being prepared.

The trailer will have to be moved and we would like to contact the owner.  If you are the owner, or know who is, please contact chief11@telus.net

Thank you.
