SOAS will be holding its annual fundraiser in May . This year our theme is from the 1920's era - a Speak Easy. Prizes will be given for Best Costume and best Charleston. Char is hosting a workshop on April 8 to teach us how to Charleston .

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Thetis Island Improvement District will be held

11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Forbes Community Hall, Thetis Island, BC

This public meeting is to receive the audited financial statements for 2016, to report on the operations of the Fire Department, the Improvement District, related issues, and whatever other items of business may be raised.

There will be a nomination and an election to fill 1 position of trustee, the term of office is three years.

Please plan on attending the Thetis Island Improvement District AGM. Light refreshments will be served

Fire Permit Season Starts April 1st

Just a reminder that all outdoor fires, including campfires and incinerators, must have a Fire Permit from April 1 to Oct. 31.  Permits are available on-line at www.thetisislandfire.ca and follow the link on the left side to fill out a Fire Permit request.  Please remember that we are not monitoring the computer 24/7, so plan ahead and request your permit at least two days before you need it.  Also, permits may be available in person at the garbage/recycling site on Wednesdays and Saturdays if either James Alton or Andy Lamb are volunteering at the sorting table on those days when the recycling centre is open.  As ever, garbage, plastic, tarps, treated lumber may NOT be burned at any time.
