Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:52AM Up to now, the Thetis Island Community Church has never been a position to offer Baptism Preparation Classes. As we presently have a young congregate wishing to be baptised and a very willing minister prepared to teach the classes we are making these classes available to anyone who is interested in learning more about the meaning of baptism and what it may mean in their life.
Attending the classes does not commit you to baptism at this time but may answer some questions about what it means to believe in Jesus Christ. Classes are going to be held May 12th and 19th from 7- 8:30 at the home of Rod & Myrna Brownlee, 29 Bella Vista Rd and Pastor Dan Rutherford will be officiating at all these events.
The Celebration of Baptism will take place May 24th.
Please call Rod Brownlee (250-246-4303) or Cecilia Inness (250-246-3013) for more information. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
Thank you,
Cecilia

Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 4:12PM Recently, a number of very tidy break-ins have occurred on Thetis Island.
The properties are usually unoccupied, waterfront places. Generally, there is no or little destruction. Items are removed, but seem to be selected to conceal the theft in the general inventory.
Items lost include alcoholic beverages and household implements. Without a complete familiarity with the contents, the loss is not remarked.
Please be alert!
