Birthday Concert

Johnny is giving a Birthday Concert. Oct. 6th, 7:30pm. In Stereo Surround Sound, with special guests, Bobby Pickell and Zandra Burns.

All are invited to attend. The show starts promptly at 7:30pm so you'll want to get here a little early to get a good spot for this sight and sound spectacle. B. & B. owners, bring your guests.

If you park in the woods anywhere, please don't smoke between your vehicle and the venue. We're having a briquette fire but no wood can be put on the fire. Let's all be responsible.

We have a lit, female friendly outhouse. What do you need to bring?  FLASHLIGHT. A chair if you wish. There will be some picnic tables and tents. Your own refreshments.

No dogs, please.

Where? Up Mill Rd., take the 1st left then bear right. Hope to see you all here. Rock 'n' Roll.

Donate Winter Coats & Boots

The Cowichan Neighbourhood house at the Old Fire Hall in Chemainus distributes free clothing on Fridays for families in need.

We are short of winter coats and boots.  If you have gentle used warm clothing that you would like to donate please bring them buy at the Community Recycle station on Thetis Wednesday or Saturday.  

I will bring the clothing to the Neighbourhood house next week, or you can drop your donations at the Old Fire Hall weekday afternoons.

Funeral for Margaret Glide

Margaret’s Funeral will be held at St. Peter’s Church, Tzuhalem Road, Duncan at 2 pm Tuesday, October 9th.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Cowichan Community Land Trust Society, 55 Station Street, Duncan, V9L 1M2 and write Thetis Island Nature Conservancy on the memo line of the cheque. Donations may also be made on line.
