The BeeHive is a day long upcycling clothing event. Bring ideas for a new creation, or, tart up old wardrobe favourites with fresh patches or a new hemline.
This is a good opportunity to share ideas, learn a new sewing skill and have fun upcycling something new for your fall wardrobe.
Stay for an hour, stay for the day, come to chat, relax and hang out.
There will be fresh baking & coffee provided by Don & Nettie.
Bring your sewing machine, and if possible an iron and ironing board as well as an extension cord.
Its ok to hand sew as well!
Everyone is welcome, there is no cost.

Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 7:43AM My name is Cricket and I need some one to love. I'm a bit timid, totally affectionate and not much trouble, I promise.
Mum has gone to a care facility and I'm totally lost without her. They are taking me to the SPCA next week :(
If you could have room for me and would like to meet me please call Deb asap. 250.710.4000.
Paws of gratitude from Cricket

There will be a TIRRA General meeting on Thursday, October 24th at 7pm. The regular agenda will be kept to a minimum in favour of discussion and budget setting for our solid waste management.
There were 33 votes against the bylaw 3713 Alternate Approval Process to have our budget CAP increased. This means we will go to a referendum most likely in December. CVRD will manage this voting process. This will be THE opportunity to decide whether we want to manage our own solid waste or let CVRD initiate a curbside service in January.
TIRRA welcomes anyone to attend and have a voice, whether they are TIRRA members or not.

Monday, October 21, 2013 at 8:32PM Walking on Burchell the past week or so, I've noticed so many different types of mushrooms. Must be perfect conditions for them. The sun broke through the fog while we were up there today filling the forest with sunbeams.
