jollity FARM

We Want Your Leaves!

The 1st annual JollityFARM maple leaf mulch collection is on. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far! The pile is growing into a mountain and we are covering more and more beds in our field each day. We have 2 willing workers (Finn Bond and Jake Howard) who will come to your house to rake + bag; or you may bring your leaves by the bag or truckload to the farm. We are offering JollityFARM bucks (may be used as trade for produce or pork) in exchange for leaf delivery to the farm and real cash to kids who participate.

...we also want your coffee grounds

We are starting out an oyster mushroom patch on the farm that should be able to provide a good supply for CSA subscribers in the near future. We can use all the coffee grounds you have to spare so please drop them off at the farm anytime or look for a 3rd marked bin at the garbage/recycling centre this weekend.

Thank you! Elisabeth, Noah and Finnigan Bond

Thanks so much

Gloria Taylor

PS. call me at 246-3091 or take the weights to the hall and leave by the coat hooks

What's New at jollity FARM?

Thank you everyone for your support over the summer season. We are continuing to grow right through the winter. Our priority for this first winter season is to fill the boxes of our winter security box subscribers. We'll be happy to share extras as we can, so look out for our sign at the bottom of the driveway or eSPOKES notices as to when we will be open.

A BUCK A BAG!

We are hoping to collect all our mulch on island this year instead of trucking in straw. We will gladly exchange a JOLLITY FARM BUCK/bag of maple leaves (use for farm food credit - pork or veg) or a real buck/bag for kids who would like to participate. If you have a lot of leaves and would prefer to have help raking them, please give us a call and we'll be happy to send Finnigan over to help.

WINTER PLANTERS

As we slowly segway into small nursery offerings we will have a few seasonal planters and Christmas wreaths for sale over the fall and winter. You are welcome to visit the farm this Saturday if you'd like to purchase a planter to bring some gorgeous texture and colour to the entrance of your home. There are 3 sizes and plants include: Heuchera, Euphorbia, Pansies and Violas, Ornamental Cabbage, Fall Aster, Creeping Jenny, Sedum, Dusty Miller, Dracena and Ivy. Prices range from $8 - $30.

Thanks

Elisabeth and Noah
