Massage Therapist looking for workspace...

Dawn Gordon is looking for a space to set up her massage table, semi-permanently.  The space needs to be warm, quiet, safe and private, with access to a bathroom, power and water.  She has many references, is insured, and would be happy to discuss any creative solution that might be a possibility.

Thetis Island Open Golf Tournament July 7th

It is springtime and time to think of the activities of summer, specifically the 32nd running of the Thetis Island Open.

The date for the Open this year  is Saturday July 7th at the Mount Brenton Golf Course in Chemainus starting at 10:30am.  The cost is $99.00 per person which includes golf (Texas Scramble format), 1/2 of a power cart, and dinner afterwards.

Thetis Island Residents' and Ratepayers' Association (TIRRA): Your membership fee covers administration costs incurred by volunteers who look after ongoing public issues such as highways, ferries, community planning, operation of St. Margaret's Cemetery, disaster survival plans, and oversight of the solid waste system.

Thetis Island Community Association (TICA): Forbes Hall Community Centre is the home for a wide variety of community activities and services. Your membership helps maintain Forbes Hall, its tennis court, outside play area, community library & Internet privileges. Your membership also includes a subscription to the Thetis Island
Quarterly. TICA is administered by a volunteer board elected by its membership.

 

Please support the important goals of these Thetis Island organizations and the volunteer Board Members.

Another reminder: The TICA Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2012 ... 7:30 PM at Forbes Hall. Members will be receiving handouts by mail  in advance  regarding proposed By-law changes. Other important matters, such as the Hall Internet  service, will be discussed. Your attendance at the meeting and your input would be appreciated.

Parade, then the Green Gala ~ join the fun!

May 19th at 1:30PM the 3rd annual parade will commence at the fire hall.  We will travel to both marinas.  PLan your floats, walks, rides, songs or whatever else you feel like doing.  Info: Gwen 250-246-4209

May 19th beginning at 6:30PM the Green Gala will serve up dinner.  There will be a silent auction, drinks and live music to dance to.  Buy your tickets in advance.  Let the good folks who are planning the Gala know how many to expect.  Tickets can be purchased at the post office on Thetis.  Adults $10.00 each and children are free.  Info: Stephanie 250-246-5269
