Hello Thetis Islanders,
A reminder that this weekend, March 16th and 17th from 10am - 2pm we will be holding an invasive species removal party (yes, it will be a party) at Fairyslipper Forest. Please meet at the Fairyslipper parking area at 10am with weed-pulling tools (if you have them), in hand!
If you have any questions, you can get in touch with me at charlotte@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org
Thanks!

50 plus Islanders came out for the Advance Care Planning Talk put on by the Forbes Hall Health Services Group. Island Health Social Worker, Marcela, walked us through the topics with knowledge and compassion.
The information was voluminous, and she provided a wealth of resources. The FHHSG will be working to make these resources accessible to all. In the meantime, here is a PDF of her presentation which contains most of the information shared at the talk.
Looking forward to next Wednesday's talk on Slips and Falls at 10 am.

Come join us for a fun night of Bingo. Meet your neighbour. Win massive pots, some approaching $10. Drinks and snacks of course will be available. Unsupervised play area for younger children. If you think not liking bingo is a reason to skip it, you are wrong.
25 cents per card per game.
Prize money is the total collected. 10 games (about 2 hours total)
See you there!
As everyone will have noticed by now, the webcam has been down for some time. The camera is still functional, but its software seems too old to communicate with the newer web hosting systems. So we are in the process of buying a new camera, and will get it going as soon as we can.
Many thanks again to Sony at Capernwray for handling this for us all.-

Thank you everyone who has shopped at my free store at the corner of Foster Point and Burns Road. More items added daily.
Anyone need a full-size box liner for an older Ford truck? It's there for the taking.
A small book shelf?
I have a few things going up for sale.
Make me an offer on a Craftsman radial arm saw. How about a heavy jointer/planer?
Also have an old-fashioned wood burning kitchen stove. Not a fancy, ornate one. Pretty basic. $100 obo A photo is on the Thetis Island classified site.
