Health Talk at Forbes Hall - Slips and Falls

March 20th 10am Forbes Hall

Falls remain the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations among Canadian seniors Between 20% and 30% of seniors fall each year. Falls and associated outcomes not only harm the injured individuals but also affect family, friends, care providers and the health care system.

On March 20th Community Paramedic, Vinh Pham, will provide a talk on slips and falls. He will cover the major causes as well as what can be done to prevent them from happening.

Recumbent Stationary Bike

I am looking for a recumbent stationary bike to either buy or have on loan to facilitate a knee replacement surgery recovery.

It will probably be needed for a couple of months if on loan. Anybody on Thetis happen to have one?

Please contact Suzanne 250-246-9965 thank you!

Gym, Anyone?

Hello community!

I have family that is considering a move to this beautiful spot, and I am wondering if there is any option for a work-out space on the island. I know there's the tennis court, hiking, all the boating - but more specifically they are looking for weights and that kind of thing.

The space they would be living in doesn't allow for them to bring their current work out supplies - so I thought to ask here.

Maybe you want to rent out yours? Win, win?

They are lovely, youthful folks (a couple) in their 60s.

Please reach out to Jess if you know of anything.

Info@wisewillowcollective.com - thank you!!
