As usual, the library is open Saturday 10-1, and Sunday 1-4 with a friend of the Library in attendance.

I am very pleased to see the picture books are being enjoyed by island children. But oh no! When I got to the library Friday, I saw that the children had forgotten to put the books nicely back on the shelves. I have left them for the children to tidy up.

Though my duties as Postmaster have enabled me to meet a good number of Islanders there are quite few whom I haven't. Would like to chat and get to know more people as we approach election time for the TIID.

On the election do come out and vote. The local level of politics is where your vote actually means something. It is at this level that decisions are made that directly affect your everyday routines.

I most definitely do not have all the answers but how can I find them if there are no questions?

Due to concerns about possible drought conditions this year, we won't have our usual supply of 2" & 4" annuals at the farm this year. Instead we will focus on providing beautiful, healthy and unique perennials. New varieties at the farm this weekend!

We have tree water bags available, if you are planting shrubs and trees
this spring.
