This is an introduction from us, Richard and Tess DeMarco. to Thetis Island residents.

We have known this kind caring and helpful lady for many years and feel certain she would be an asset to our community.

I HELP PROVIDE ASSISTANCE FOR AGING IN PLACE AND ERRANDS 

Hi, my name is Abra Fulton, and I have been providing in-home care for over three years. My phone number is 250-945-9418

A little about me. I am an empty nester and live in Crofton. I am very familiar with Thetis Island and know many of the people there.

I have a lot of experience in senior care and companionship.

I have had many years of experience with dogs and dog care and dog walking.

Do you need help with your garden? I have a lot of experience including plant identification, plant pests and disease control, pruning, training composting all organic.

I’m very interested in food preservation and canning.

I have my own vehicle and have no problem coming over on the ferry.

Below are some of the additional services I can provide.

Lamb Orders

Now taking deposits for the final batch of lamb this year. The price is $12/lb of hanging weight including cut and wrap (they are butchered in a government inspected facility). 

They will be ready approximately the first week of November.  

These are grown by friends on Texada Island. They are healthy, pasture raised animals. 

Minimum order is a side. 12 available in total.

Organic Blueberry Order Updates

Thank you to everyone who placed orders for local organic blueberries this year.

We have been given a few possible pick-up dates over the next two weeks. We shall be aiming for something next week and will send out emails to organize pick up at the farm.

Family Fun Day - Thanks

Thank you to all of you who came out to support and enjoy the TICF’s Family Fun Day on Saturday. We were blessed to have perfect weather, and all attending seemed to have a great time! Special thanks to members of the Fire Department, SPU and Auxiliary teams for providing the much-loved drop tank swimming pool. Also, many thanks to Joe and Westley Knowles for taking the lead in the kitchen this year. The new menu was a great hit! Our event wouldn’t have the same upbeat feel without our DJ Robin who once again travelled from Victoria to help us out for the day.

Last but far from least, a huge thank you to the 43 volunteers who were instrumental in making this year's FFD a great success! Each year our goal is to bring community together to have fun and enjoy a meal. Thanks to the 117 meal tickets that were purchased, water closet sales and additional generous donations given, we met our goal and surpassed it by raising $1,028 from the event! All proceeds the TICF made will go toward assisting islanders with education and health needs.

Please check out the upcoming Quarterly for pictures from the event. We look forward to seeing many islanders at next year’s Family Fun Day!

Rain Damaged Driveways

In the wake of the heavy sprinkle we received the other day some driveways took a bit of a beating, especially on the east side of the island. I will be working on a number of roads affected by the storm in the next couple of days. If your driveway needs a tune up. Shoot me a text.
