Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 7:44AM Free #1 - 20 ft Holliday trailer. Used as a guest bedroom but no longer needed. Had a major leak, lots of work necessary but still functional. Licensed but not in my name. Electrical is OK but don't know about the appliances. Will deliver on Thetis for a minimal # of Luckys. Skookum tarp included.
Free #2 - Beaver Rockwell table saw. Heavy duty, cast iron table. Likely have many spare blades. New condenser for the motor. Worth its weight in scrap cast iron and the motor. You pick up.
Free #3 - Bandsaw. Needs belt and blade. Motor works, can't be bothered to get it functioning and running. You pick up.
Free #4 - An interesting homemade, Underwater camera setup. Hasn't been used for decades. It either has a color screen or a color camera...can't remember.
Free #5 - The Pelican case is worth taking it off my hands. Again, the scrap electrical is worth your effort.
For Sale: I also have a lot of plastic pails, food grade with waterproof, sealing lids. Dusty but almost new. Cost a lot back then...willing to sell for 1999 prices.
Boat For Sale: Beautiful, Crestliner 17ft. aluminum boat and Karavan trailer with papers. 115 hp Johnson motor (Suzuki) with questionable hours on it. New impeller, new throttle cable, Pierre did lots of work on her. Runs at low speed. Unfortunately, the necessary repairs to get her skookum is not worth it. I'll take any offers...thinking maybe 5k?

Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 7:43AM Sorry, not our regular salad... plus, What's on the fresh list?
If you received a less than stellar salad mix last weekend, we are
sorry! From time to time we have a system or helper change and before we
have realized that something has gone wrong, the product has already
left the farm.
Our fresh, crisp and long lasting salads have returned this week. We are
happy to report things have been remedied. Thanks for your
understanding. If you felt like your salad was wasted last week, please
let us know and we'll gladly replace or offer a discount.
On the harvest list for this coming weekend from Jollity Farm and friends:
Strawberries
Mixed greens
Garlic greens
Heads of romaine
Red beets
Spring onion
Carrots
Baby Cucumbers
Cherry and San Marzano tomatoes
Radish
Herbs
Asparagus
Free Range Eggs
On the Kombucha taps this week: Nettles & Petals and Citrus Ginger
Fresh batch of dumplings and chili oil this week too!
See you at the farm Saturday 10am to 1pm. If our hours don't work for
you, most of our veggies are also in our Chemainus farm shop or can be
left at the Kiosk for you.
With thanks,
Jollity Farmers
Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 7:51AM It’s so easy to use! Go to forbeshall.ca and go to the Library page https://forbeshall.ca/library/ and click on the Catalogue button.
Sort by Fiction, Dewy (Non-Fiction), Junior, DVDs, and Picture books. So many titles, have fun!
Note: Not all library titles are on the system, but most are. Use the drop-down menu, under “ticalibrary” on the left of the panel, to select by type, or alternately use the Profile button to access the resources.

Text or call Adam on (250) 802-2418.
Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 7:53AM Join us this Saturday to get the Hall and grounds ship-shape for summer! Work starts at 9:30, it’s okay if you come a bit later...
A yummy lunch has been planned to reward the wonderful volunteers who step up to help.
Here’s an equipment list that may be helpful: gloves, secateurs, shovels, trowels, wheelbarrows (we have 1, a couple more would be great), rakes, 1 or 2 weed eaters and appropriate safety gear.
Note: Pressure-washing and gutter cleaning are being done on other days with volunteers already arranged.
Saturday’s Job List
1. Weeding and Gardening: lots of small areas to be worked on, detailed list on Saturday.
2. Take down screens, wipe clean, replace after windows are done.
3. Window Washing: wash windows inside and out. All equipment and training will be provided.
4. Wiping down of all windowsills, inside and out.
5. Water Tank: roll it into position beside the pump house.
6. Drag the outhouses adjacent to their new position.
7. Beverage Station: clean all drawers, cupboards and shelves. Sort items when restocking.
8. Plateau area by parking: remove wood and bricks, weed-eat area.
9. Move wooden bench by kitchen stairs to rear garden area.
We are looking forward to seeing an eager team!
See you Saturday,
TICA Board

If so, please contact Sahir at advani.sahir@gmail.com or 778 223 6647.
Thanks!

Monday, June 3, 2024 at 7:36AM Best known for its amazingly fuzzy feeling leaves, lamb’s ear is a favourite among the TIES (Thetis Island Elementary School) community. One student was so blown away by it, he exclaimed upon feeling it, “Woah! Is that thing real??!” Although not a scrumptious plant like some, lamb’s ear does have medicinal properties!
