Adam Sandell is a GP and medical advisor to the BC Ministry of Health on MAID, and he provides teaching and training on MAID. He’ll be giving a talk and answering questions on MAID eligibility, law and practicalities.
Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) law seeks to respect personal autonomy for those seeking access to MAID, while at the same time protecting vulnerable people and the equality rights of all Canadians.

On May 30, 2024, Islands Trust trustees will be participating in a Committee of the Whole virtual meeting to review the updated draft of the Policy Statement.
The meeting will be open to the public to watch and listen. The agenda package and meeting details are available https://islandstrust.bc.ca/event/trust-council-committee-of-the-whole/
Additional Committee of the Whole meetings may be scheduled after the May 30, 2024 meeting.
The Committee of the Whole will contemplate providing recommendations to Trust Council on changes to the staff-prepared draft and the next steps for the project. Trust Council will then hold a meeting during which they could consider the recommendations, and direct changes to the draft.
Public engagement on the updated draft Policy Statement will begin after Trust Council approves the document in principle. Trustees will consider public feedback on the draft and could recommend more changes to the draft document.
Learn more about the Policy Statement Amendment Project: https://islandstrust.bc.ca/programs/islands-2050/
Thank you to all who shared comments and ideas on the previous draft Islands Trust Policy Statement in 2021. You are encouraged to provide input once the public engagement period begins.

Hi all, my wife and I moved to Thetis Island last year.
We ran an electrical contracting business for around 25 years; so I gained a broad range of experience over the years.
If you have an electrical project such as a light fitting or a receptacle outlet to be installed, an appliance connected or disconnected, I may be able to help you.

Thanks to the two Forbes Road heroes who rescued my car and me out of a ditch.
I am so grateful for their help and kindness in my very sticky situation.

Large metal antique gas containers. Good condition. Not rusted out.
Two larger. Two medium. These are the corrugated looking red metal ones with the handle and the spout. Really cool looking decor for the garden or garage.
The two large ones are $20 each
The two medium ones are $15 each.
Will make a deal for all 4. $60 for all 4.
