Forbes Hall: Thank You

The Forbes Hall cleaners have been doing a great job keeping the hall clean and fresh. They have taken on new tasks as asked and turn up regularly to do their work.

The TICA Board thanks Connie Schermerhorn and Janice Young for their commitment to their work.

If you see them working away while you’re at the hall – please say thanks, they deserve it!

Goosey Gander Shop this Weekend

The Shop will be closed on Saturday for Remembrance Day.

Open Sunday 10am to 3pm (since it is getting dark so early now)

There are 96 new skeins of yarn to look at, and lots of Merry’s whimsical original one of a kind watercolours. There are also some beautiful hand turned wooden art pieces, a brand new kitchen sink faucet, a Dr. Scholl’s foot bath, and a very unusual lamp with flower lights and crystal pendants. There are a few special Christmas decorations too.

New ‘Wish List’ items that have been requested are a stationary bike, small table and chairs, weightlifting weights, a floor lamp, and accordion mug racks. If you have any of these items you don’t use anymore just let us know.

Thank you and hope to see you Sunday.

Calling all Knitters! Seeking Donations of Toques & Gloves

Over here at our Chemainus farm shop we are connecting with the locals
and learning about positive ways we can interact with our new community.

There is a need for new or gently used toques and gloves (fingerless
ones are very helpful) for folks who are living around town and need
some extra layers to keep warm.

We will set up a drop off station at the Jollity Farm Shop & Cafe in
Chemainus and Harvest House will collect and distribute. We are happy to
collect any items you may wish to share from our Kiosk or weekly
Saturday market on Thetis as well.

With thanks!
