Health talk at Forbes Hall - Slips and Falls: March 20th 10am Forbes Hall

Falls remain the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations among Canadian seniors Between 20% and 30% of seniors fall each year. Falls and associated outcomes not only harm the injured individuals but also affect family, friends, care providers and the health care system.

On March 20th Vinh Pham will provide a talk on slips and falls. He will cover the major causes as well as what we can do to prevent them from happening.

Flat Deck or Tow Service Required

Hi everyone,

My truck broke down so I’m looking to have it towed to Chemainus for repair. Does anyone have a flat deck trailer going across, or have a tow dolly we could rent?

Happy to pay for the service.

Please text at (250)-416-9695 if you’re able to help!

Grey Water Experience

Hello Thetis community, we are looking for someone with experience in capturing grey water from their home. We are planning on diverting our water to tanks for irrigation. We’d love to chat if you have experience with this sort of thing.

We live at 90 Pilkey Point above Jollity Farm.

Thanks!

Reminder: Burning and Air Quality & Venting Index

Since we are in 2024 and still people and our forest industry still believe they have to do the nonsense of brush burning please note that you have to pay attention to certain things. Beside the burning permit (if not done during certain times!!) there is the BC venting index. You shouldn't do any burning when the air quality is not according.
