Updated Combined Busy Ferry Schedule

Many thanks to both Capernwray and Pioneer Pacific for keeping us updated with their expected summer ferry traffic. The latest version of the schedule includes their heavy loads throughout the summer. Link https://www.thetisisland.net/ferry/current-combined-busy.pdf. Please don't just print it out and figure that's it for the summer. There are occasional updates.

If anyone else knows of any additional unusual ferry demand on specific days, please let me know so I can add it in. Thanks!

Danger Class - Fingers Crossed!

Friday our Wildfire Danger Class Rating dropped to 4 - HIGH.  If this holds for two more days, Saturday and Sunday, then on Monday we can go back to “early shift” activities…completing High Hazard Activities before 1 pm and posting a two-hour fire watch following.  Let us keep our fingers crossed!

The complete campfire ban, put in place by the Province, is still in place until October 31st.  Use your propane campfire appliances…they throw no smoke, sparks or embers and you can shut them off completely when finished.

We will keep you posted on the Fire Danger Class ratings and let you know if we can all get back to getting our winter wood chores completed before the summer.

Rain or Shine.... Jollity Time!

A few updates for the weekend due some scheduling changes.

We may run out of time to make all our goodies for Saturday market, so
there will be some yummy things available on both Saturday and Sunday.

Maybe you feel like staying home tomorrow if it's raining, we get it!
But... we have lots of food harvested so we will be happy to see you and
will be open Sunday too. We can put orders in the Kiosk after hours too.
Just send us a message - orders@jollityfarm.ca or 250.415.0101

Thank You

We would like to thank everyone who came to say goodbye to us on Tuesday. Thanks also to the Capernwray staff who provided the lovely lunch. We love and appreciate all of you and are going to miss you all terribly. We will always treasure the fond memories we have of this beautiful island and all it has meant to us. It is now time for us to go back to Alberta and be near our children.

God bless you all.

Request for Volunteers - Thetis Island Family Fun Day

Hello Islanders!

The Thetis Island Community Fund will once again be hosting Family Fun Day at Forbes Hall and the School Grounds on August 12. Last year marked the return of this long-standing Thetis Island tradition after a pandemic hiatus and the event was a great success! We owe much of this success to our eager volunteers and so we are putting out a request for volunteer assistance to ensure that this year’s Family Fun Day ends up just as fun and rewarding for kids and parents alike as last year's.

The Community Fund Board will be meeting at Forbes Hall this Sunday, Jun 11 at 2 pm, to discuss this year’s event and so we invite interested volunteers to meet with us at this time. Help will be required on August 11 and 12 for set-up and take down as well as managing various game stalls and activities. Join us this Sunday to find out how you can support this wholesome community event.

With gratitude,

The Thetis Island Community Fund (TICF)
