We invite all Thetis Island men (16+) to attend our Men’s Conference Weekend teaching sessions for FREE.
Charles Price, is our Guest Speaker and will be teaching a series called “Temptation: A Positive Force in Life”. It is a series based on the ‘temptations of Jesus’, we will see how the very thing Satan would destroy Jesus with, God used to build Him! The ‘temptations’ from Satan were designed to weaken Him, but the same things were ‘testings’ from God designed to strengthen Him. It was after these temptations that Jesus returned from the wilderness “in the power of the Spirit”.
We will see how some of our’ biggest battles’ can be our ‘best friends’.
Session Schedule:
Fri. Aug. 12 at 7:30pm
Sat. Aug. 13 at 9:00am & 7:00pm
Sun. Aug. 14 at 9am

We are delighted to have ThINC at our market this year. The ThINC team is there to answer your questions about the Nature Conservancy on Thetis Island as well as elsewhere. The team has numerous free pamphlets as well as merchandise for sale. Here is just a sample:
Homemade Cards by Marcie Welsh

This year ThINC is selling T-Shirts designed by Keya White. They come in three different colours and sizes. Order one at the ThINC tent.
The Saturday Market is a place to meet new friends and catch up with people you haven't seen for a while.

Thank you everyone who came out to the Community Centre on Thursday evening to hear about my new book, Urgent Message from a Hot Planet: Navigating the Climate Crisis, and to talk together about community resilience in the face of climate change. A number of links mentioned during the evening are posted here.

Dear Thetis Islanders,
Last night Jan and I participated at the meeting organized by ThINC. I would be more than willing to welcome at my place those who want to switch to a Separret composting toilet or just are curious about it and show them all the tricks there are in order to have fun with it and no smell.
Not to flush and use diversion has many benefits both to nature and to the human soul.
