No Outdoor Fires, Including Campfires, Until October 31.

Propane campfires are allowed.

That wonderful rainfall overnight Tuesday and cooler temperatures gave us over 12mm of rain. This is bringing down the Fire Danger Class Rating and if all goes well (continuing cooler temperatures with good humidity recovery overnight) we will open up High Hazard Activities and most likely have no 1 pm shutdowns.

We will post on Thursday afternoon what the results are for the Danger Class Rating and the forecast for the weekend.

Nature House: What’s on Tomorrow (Thursday, Aug 7)

10:00 AM: Wild Creatives: Clay Chaos
Location: The Nature House at The Portal, 254 North Cove Road

Get your hands dirty at the Nature House this Thursday making clay figures and magnets! We will start by molding some nature inspired forms using our hands, stamps and floral pressings, then painting our creations. Thetis Island Community Association: Forbes Hall Solar Project Fundraising Initiative

Through many generous donations and pledges from the Thetis Island community, we have met (and exceeded!) TICA’s $25,000 threshold to go ahead with the Solar Panel Installation on Forbes Hall, by Ocean Volt, in September 2025.

The excellent response in donations and pledges has funded most of the remaining cost of the project, for which we are very grateful!

 $63,211 (installation quote)

- 25,000 (BC Hydro Rebate)

- 36,600 (donations and pledges to July 31, 2025)

$ 1,611 (remaining to be raised)

The community initiative to make Thetis Island's Forbes Hall Community Centre greener and more affordable has now been realized through the drive and financial support of community members.

With sincerest thanks,

TICA Board

Hello Dolly! Looking for a Laser Dolly

Something that’s still glowin’ and crowin’ to pull our little dinghy down to the waters’ edge.
If you happen to have something, that would be so swell.

Cheers,
