Looking to Borrow a Car Seat

Woops! My baby car seat made its way to Victoria in my parents car by accident. This might be a long-shot but I'm hoping to borrow a car seat for a few days next week (during which time I will retrieve ours!) if anyone has an extra that they won't miss. Henley is 7 months old and about 22 lbs so we would be very grateful to borrow a rear-facing seat. Looking for Tuesday to Thursday, Nov 3-5, and I can pick-up/drop-off at your convenience.

ThINCpod - and that's a wrap!

Dear Thetis Islanders,

After five months, ThINC's Community Sustainability and Resilience Youth Program is wrapping up. The ThINCpod has deeply appreciated the support and kindness they've received on Thetis Island and says, "Thank you!".  The Pod will be sharing their experience and projects during the ThINC AGM (online) on Saturday, October 31st between 3-5pm, and we have a couple more podcasts underway too - so keep your eyes peeled.

Senior Housing Thetis

If you have read through the fall Quarterly, you may have read our article about the senior housing project we’re working on. Thank you to every single person who called, emailed, or talked to us in person as a response to this article. We’ve been inspired by the many wonderful conversations and ideas. We appreciate the support that we’ve received, and we’re motivated to push the project forward. As the next step in our community consultation, we have put together a survey which takes around 10 mins to complete. Your feedback is essential for us to plan this project to meet the specific needs and wants of Thetis Island. The feedback we get will guide the direction of our project.

Thetis Island Pub and Restaurant

Friday and Saturday night dinner special is ribs with baked potato and vegetables. You can get a half a rack of ribs or a full rack of ribs. 

Sunday Morning breakfast special is blueberry pancakes or eggs benny with back bacon. Breakfast on Sunday is extended until 2pm.

Missing Cat Found

Our missing ginger cat "Dudley" has been found -- many thanks to everyone who helped look for him!  

It turned out he was trapped in a neighbour's shed.

Coming to 162 Pilkey Point Road this Saturday 10-4 a bunch of free stuff.

We have CD's, books, exercise stuff, jigsaw puzzles, picture frames, tour books from across Canada and much more. We are still cleaning out the closets so who knows what we find.
