Bouquet to BC Ferries Crew

Thank you to the captain and crew for getting the school kids and families home on Thursday’s 5:35 sailing. The crew worked as a team docking the ferry during strong rain and winds blowing onto the Thetis Island dock.

Our dear friend and fellow islander, Kathleen McIsaac, died early January 15 at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria quietly ending a year+ long battle with cancer. Community Meeting re: Re-zoning Application

Hi All,

My Name is Oreste Panacui and I represent Abrupt Shellfish Inc., a locally owned shellfish company that operates an Aquaculture Lease near Scott Island for the last 10 years or so.

We are currently in the process of expanding our operations and are needing to apply for re-zoning of the proposed expansion site.

We will be hosting a meeting at the Thetis Island Marina Pub on Thursday, Feb 6th at 6-8pm to offer information about our plans for operation, maintenance and environmental practices on our Sub-Tidal Geoduck lease to any interested members of the Thetis Island community.

Route 20 Schedule Change Reminder

A reminder that effective Saturday, February 1st, 2020 the first sailing of the day from Thetis Island will be 6:10 AM instead of 6:15 AM.

The Friday departure will remain at 6:00 AM. No other sailing times will be affected.

Attention: Received an email from Telus telling me that my payment did not go through. They wanted me to send all my information including my Visa card number. Just talked to Telus and this is a scam.

The emails look just like what Telus would use.

Do not send any information until you have talked to Telus via phone. 1-888-811-2323.

West Coast Seeds - Hurry Don’t Miss Out!

Once you place your order, please make sure to note your order number for pick up.  Pick up and payment will be at Jollity Farm in February, date TBA.

If you have a child who will be in Kindergarten next year and they will be attending a school in School District # 79 please register your child.  

If your child will be attending Thetis Island Elementary School, please register your child at Chemainus Elementary School.
