Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:53PM A very vocal, friendly orange cat visited us at lot 410 this morning.
After a quick bite to eat, and a certain lack of welcome from our two cats, he went out again.
If he/she belongs to anyone, call me and if he/she shows up again, I'll deliver him to you.

Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:52PM I found an orange tabby cat in my kitchen early yesterday morning. We are friendly islanders but this cat has overstayed his welcome. He will not leave and has been claiming his territory. My cats are not happy.
Please come get him. 186 Porlier Rd.
Please email elite01@shaw.ca if you need more information.

Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 9:49AM We are happy to share exciting news about the Tender process, and important dates pertaining to the Forbes Hall Upgrade and Expansion project.
The Hall as we know it will be upgraded and reconfigured to meet the current and foreseeable needs of our active community. As well, a large addition in the form of assembly space, storage, and service areas will be built. These changes have been made with significant community input, and much attention has been devoted to building sustainably whenever possible. We are thrilled that the community’s vision is unfolding!
Last week a huge milestone was reached: the tender documents were completed, delivered and distributed to a shortlist of four contractors on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Those four contractors attended a mandatory site viewing Thursday, February 21, 2019. Bids are due on Monday, March 11, 2019 and will be reviewed by TICA Directors, with a decision planned by Monday, March 25, 2019.
The start date for construction is set for Monday, May 1, 2019 however commencement will depend on the availability of the successful bidder. Based on this timeline, Forbes Hall could be turned over to the contractor as soon as Monday, April 15, 2019.
Plans are in place for the preparation of the hall for the construction including packing and storage, and relocation of the library and regular activities.
Anne-Marie Koeppen and a committee have been tasked with seeking alternative venues for regular users and activities to try to minimize interruption of activities during construction. More information about this will follow shortly.
We are at an exciting stage as Forbes Hall is on the edge of transformation! A large celebration is to be had before construction begins – stay tuned for more information about this event.

Monday, February 25, 2019 at 8:29PM Hi there,
My name is Claire Benny and I am a researcher for Be the Change Group Inc., an independent public health consulting firm operating out of Vancouver, BC.
We are currently working with Islands Trust (Conservancy) to measure engagement with their website. Please use the following link to access the survey.
The survey referenced in this post is for all Salish Sea island residents/visitors who have visited the Trust website. Essentially, we are aiming to capture community thoughts about the Trust and the Trust's communication tools, which is very relevant for Thetis Island residents and visitors.
Thank you very much for your time,
Claire Benny, BHSc (Hon.)
