TIVFD ~ Can We Find You?

Do you know every TIVFD member? Well, we don't know all of you and where you live either. It is VERY important that we can find you quickly if there is an emergency on your property.

The requirement on Thetis Island for Lot number signs is that the numbers be 6" tall and clearly visible from both directions at the entrance to your property. We want to find you. Please check that your Lot number sign complies, that it isn't overgrown, branches aren't blocking it, or the number s are faded. ,Some Lots aren't even displaying numbers...could your sign have fallen off? Also, if you have lanes branching off from your driveway do you have directional signs to your house? What is evident to you at noon on a sunny summer day may not be all that obvious to us at 2 a.m. on a miserable rainy winter night. Sometimes even seconds count and we don't want to overshoot your address and have to double back to find you.

To assist you in meeting the requirements, we are offering Reflective Address Posts at cost, delivered to the Firehall for pickup.  Durable and long lasting PVC. Easy installation. Cleans with soap and water. Address reflective and on both sides. Highly visible to responding emergency services, Hydro etc.  They are $45 each which includes tax.
