BC Ferries ~ Route 20 Reduced Fares
Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 8:21PM Click here to view the news release from BC Ferries. The scheduled 1.9% increase in fares has been offset by a corresponding 1.9% in fuel rebate.
Imbedded in the fare table is an additional 5% reduction in all fares for Route 20. This is in recognition of the community created schedule that we now have in place, which is 'above and beyond' what the Province had directed as part of their Service Level Adjustment process in 2014.
I would like to thank members of our Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC) (Art Hunter, Steve Frankel, Sue French, Ken Hunter and Sharon Cross) along with Dave Knowles, Bill Dickie and all the other community members who worked so hard in the winter of 2013/14 on making the new schedule a reality. I would also like to thank BC Ferries for honouring their 2012 commitment to the FAC to return additional savings back to the community.
