Cowichan Green Community ~ Beer & Burger Invite & Request
Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 7:54AM On Saturday, March 19th Cowichan Green Community (CGC) will be hosting a Youth Outreach (YO) Team Beer and Burger Fundraiser at the Oak and Carriage Pub in Duncan.
The group of 8 youth, aged 17 – 30, have been active members in the Cowichan Region since 2014. Being on the team gives the youth opportunities to utilize their skills, discover their strengths, and build their confidence. All of them are an integral force behind the CGC’s KinPark Family Drop-In as they are the ones who brainstorm for the programming. Each member has gifts and talents they showcase to their community members, such as science workshops, craft teachings, and cooking and baking skills.
To keep the Youth Outreach program running it is our goal to raise $4000 so the youth can continue to assist with cooking classes, engage with families, children and other fellow youth, continue to farm at KinPark, plan events, and help out during KinPark Kid’s Camp in the summer. We are seeking donations for the event’s silent auction. Anything you can contribute would be much appreciated. In recognition of your donation, we will promote your logo at the Beer and Burger Fundraiser and through online media.
