One Year Ago

I am sure none of us on Thetis will ever forget the storm of December 20th, 2018. I am reminded of it every time I drive down our driveway as I see the dozens of downed trees and uprooted stumps.

At the first site of the devastation I have to admit I shed a tear, but now even though I can still see evidence of the storm, it reminds me of the meaning of neighbourhood.  It is not just a "geographically localized community" we have here on Thetis, it is a collective of caring and giving people that don't even blink an eye to offer up assistance. People that pull together and work hard to make things right. I applaud all of you that stepped up to help a neighbour on that day and the many days following.
