Last week we discussed our first major issue, reconciliation with First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, which has led us to schedule a second gathering on Monday, March 11, 7:30-9:00 p.m. to show the very moving and informative film, Return to the Healing Circle, about the infamous Kuper Island Residential School.

My friend, Joan Morris, a Songhees elder and a former student at KIRS and a patient at the segregated Nanaimo Indian hospital, will join us to share some of her experiences and thoughts about reconciliation.
