Forbes Hall Expansion: Glulam Structural Lumber

The Assembly Hall portion of Forbes Hall has been redesigned with Standard Framing instead of the originally planned Timber Frame construction. This change is creating significant cost reductions for the build, and long-term sustainability value.
A consequence of this change is that the Glulam Structural Lumber (rough material), which had already been ordered by the manufacturer, is now superfluous to the build (excepting for pieces that can be used in a few other applications).
There are a couple of options: the package can be left with the manufacturer, and a discounted credit will be put against TICA’s invoice.
The other option is for TICA to sell the package, trying to recoup more than the manufacturer is offering. Is there anyone that is interested in purchasing and using, or reselling, the package? Or, is there anyone interested in managing the resale for TICA? The package can be shipped to Chemainus if needed. Warehousing will be required (with an accessible 40’ radius), and the package (whole or in piecemeal) would need to be sold within the next two months. This could be a good, short-term contract for someone.
It is unfortunate that time is short for this decision. The remaining timber package for the hall is due to leave Squamish for Chemainus later next week. Any expressions of interest will need to be put forth this weekend.
