Come Out and Join the Politicians on the Ides of March (Wednesday)
Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 7:59AM On Wednesday local elected officials will be coming to meet with Islanders and Island organizations. Please come out to hear what they have to say and to share your opinions on issues that are important to you.
Doug Routley (MLA) and Peter Luckham (Islands Trust Trustee) will be joining the community at Soup's On (11:30 at the hall).
After Soup's on there will be a more formal meeting. In addition to Doug and Peter, Alistair MacGregor (MP) and Ken Hunter (Islands Trust Trustee) will be at Forbes Hall for the formal meeting. From 1:30 to 3:30 community groups will be making presentations about issues they are facing. This will be followed by responses from Federal and Provincial politicians. Time may allow for interested individuals to bring up issues (I have received two email submissions already).
