TIRRA Community Day Quiz/Draw

The question was posed: "What was the weight of garbage shipped from Thetis Island in 2022?"The only hint was: CVRD goal>>Reduce garbage weight to 250KG/person/year by 2028, and to 150KG/person/year by 2040. 2022 garbage shipped by TIRRA in 2022 was 18,220KGs or 40,168LBs (We have insufficient info on population using the Solid Waste site, in order to compare to CVRD goals.....but we can always reduce through recycle, reuse, refuse, repurpose, reduce, etc.)

Contestants were given the option to answer in KGs or LBs. After conversion the results are in!!!

Closest answer: Keith Rush 15,000KGs or 33,069LBs : Winner of $20 towards garbage fees!
