Mosquito Infestation on Thetis

I have to concur with Kathleen M. who also e-Spokes about the mosquito infestation on our island. I didn’t think the situation could be worse this year than last year, but it is insane. I get swarmed all day, not just in the early morning or evening. I’m even using mosquito repellent that I used on safari in Africa, and they are still swarming. We have no standing water on our property, no tall grass and yet they are everywhere! I just spoke to Steve from Antex and he has no solution, but did agree that this is a huge issue on Thetis. He’s been getting calls from Thetis residents regarding this too. Also, our chimney cleaning guy who comes over every year cannot believe how bad the mosquitos are here. He said this is Thetis specific. There must be something we can do as a community.
