Reminder of the Improvement District's (TIID) Special General Meeting

The Thetis Island Improvement District (TIID) will hold a Special General Meeting this Saturday August 10th at 10 AM at Forbes Hall Community Centre.

The purpose of the meeting is to obtain formal support from landowners for the recommendation by the Improvement District trustees to proceed with the purchase of the Fort Garry Fire Trucks MXV Front Line Pumper, through the following motion:
To support the recommendation by the Improvement District trustees to proceed with the purchase of the Fort Garry Fire Trucks MXV Front Line Pumper ($599,875) and financing up to $200,000 as outlined in the PowerPoint presentation.

The vote will be by secret ballot...
To be eligible to vote you need to be a Canadian citizen, 18 years or older, a resident of BC for at least 6 months prior to the vote and own land in the Improvement District.

The poll will be open at 9 AM for voter registration only.
The meeting will begin at 10 AM, with a presentation followed by a question and answer period, followed by the vote.
