Update on Stranded Boater

Our stranded boater and his sweet dog Brody are receiving help from Emergency Support Services, so they will be able to stay at a hotel in Chemainus for the next few nights and get some staples to stay warm and dry. His boat is still on the rocks but hopefully will be dislodged on Saturday. He was so appreciative of the islanders coming to his aid and their generosity was greatly appreciated. Honestly, he was quite overwhelmed by how many strangers showed such kindness.

I’d personally like to give a huge shout out to Jesse MacLeod for all that he did to help this man. He went above and beyond to help when it was desperately needed. And it made my heart full to see our little community once again showing such kindness to someone in a time of great need.
